Is there any Master Merchants out there that do not craft? How do you conduct business with other crafters to get their products on your vendors?

Back when I was a Master Merchant (Dropped it in /respec cause it is mostly useless now. 0003 is enough) I used to have crafters deliver items to be sold to my vendor and send me email with the "retail" price. I would then pay them and put the items up for sale. It was the most secure and least complex way to handle such transactions but requires a good bank account cause you the merchant take the risk while the crafter has the money.

In the olden days, I manually kept track of what sold and paid the chef/tailor as it did, keeping any agreed-upon commission. These days, I tend to purchase outright at wholesale and mark it up as needed, maybe, if I'm on good terms with the person, with a "sell-back" guarantee (meaning if the food/drink/whatever doesn't sell within X days, the chef/tailor/whomever has agreed to buy it back at the price I paid).

I don't craft, but I sell mostly resources. The few things I do sell that someone else crafts (a couple of particular chef foods), I buy outright then mark up. I usually buy 50 crates at a time, then mark up 100% or so. But even though I mark up 100%, these aren't my real moneymakers - my resources are. The chef foods just help my customers, and they're willing to pay more to buy everything they need in 1 place.
I don't really care who makes the foods I buy, as long as they're the best on the server. If they take special orders, I buy 50 crates. If they don't, I buy everything on their vendor, then list it on mine.
