I really think vendors should have "administrator" or "restriction" options on them, allowing players to give vendor access to only select individuals or ban people from purchasing from a vendor.
For example, I would love to have a vendor just for my guild. I could go to the vendor controls and add all guild names to the vendor. The vendor could show items to anyone, but only the names I put into the vendor would be able to BUY from the vendor.
Or,
Someone really ticks me off and I don't want to do business with that person. I could select a "ban" button from the radial menu and add the evil person's name. That person could see the items on the vendor, but could not BUY from the vendor.
There are a few ways this could be implemented. When vendors are created, a merchant could select "private" or "public" vendor. Public Vendors could be just like our current vendors--anyone can use them. Private, vendors, however, could have a couple more options: restriction options, such as a "ban" or "add guild" button (to allow a merchant to give access to an entire guild without having to type in everyone's name--the vendor need not show all guildmember names; instead, it could just read "George's Guild" or something, solely indicating the name of the guild.)
I just think that business could be all the more interesting in this game if people could be banned from vendors, or VIP vendors could be set up, or private vendors for guilds, or friends, etc etc.
Anyone else think something like this would be cool? If so, PLEASE POST and let's get this idea some consideration, eh? Thanks for reading.

Having that option is a fantastic idea. We have a guild vendor that we hide and hope to God nobody findsit We have to keep moving it around also. There are things you just want to sell to your guild at a cheaper price bottom line and no way to do then to be on when there on or take chances that nobody finds your vendor. Yeah you can put up a tent and charge a huge entrance fee and just add certain people to it that you want to give access to without paying the fee. But why do we have to do this. Let us place our guild vendor in our PA hall and have restrictions on it.

It may be age old, but I love it, and I'm sure that most people think its an awesome idea, especially the factional aspect of it.
Doc. Did you put this in the Current issue list facing merchants?

6New FeatureDirected Sales
Both for customer orders, PA or Factional specials etc the vendors should be able to allow a merchant to place an item up for sale that can only be purchased by the indicated party or group. (e.g. guld:WAH, faction:Imperial, Chataka)

I would love a feature like this, but I doughty that we will ever get it. There would be to much wining from the people that did not get the discounts or was unable to buy what they wanted.
