In my humble opinion if a vendor has become empty either through sales, or through unsold items falling into the storeroom after 30 days, it is enough if that vendor is removed from the control+V and control+M maps, so players cannot see it and waste their time trying to buy from it.

Total deletion from the game is far too harsh a penalty for such a vendor, it can lead toa merchant losing millions of credits worth of items.

Sometimes it is not the merchant's fault ifa vendor is empty, perhaps job pressures have caused SWG playing time to be reduced.

This is compounded by the SWG Dev'srefusal to add a resell-all button to vendors, and their malignant idiocy in forcing merchants to pull all vendor items into their char's inventory, and resell them, in order for post-CU stats to appear.

Keep in mind that there are people paying much money into a vendor and might leave the game then. If that Vendor is in a Mall you would have to live forever with a empty vendor in your Mall.

but a vendor isn't truly "empty" as long as there's items for sale, in the stockroom, or offered for purchase -- the time for being empty shouldn't start ticking until all three of these places are actually _empty_

even then, they won't stick around "forever" -- but it'd be a better idea if these vendors got "redeeded" to a player's inventory or bank rather than being deleted, considering how difficult it can be to get a desired vendor appearance. also, any maintenance money still in them should revert to the player's bank account

A Vendor is empty for the general public as soon as there are no items on sale, all other things are private.

I would like to see vendors in the future with a unlimited stockroom time that ONLY get removed (redeeded sounds better

) 30 days after there are no items on sale, and ONLY if the email was send correctly at that time, not enter, load, email, poof within seconds
