Thread: Way to Stop the Global Vendor Listing!!!

As many posts as we have gotten on that "we are opposed to it" thread, they couldnt ignore all of us if we used their "submit idea" function on the main page of Station. Im going right now to submit my idea ...
Subject: Global Vendor Listing
Text: If you go to the merchant forums (http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=merchant&message.id=53394)you will see that the profession this idea most affects is completely 100% opposed to this. Please, I beg you to visit the forums or to speak with our correspondent, Elyssa, to see the ideas we have had for ways to fix the vendor availability issues.
Vendors and the Bazaar (addressing this exact same idea and all the feed back given to it BACK IN JULY '04)
These are just a few of the discussions that we have had concerning this exact same issue. If you will note that one of these discussions was made surrounding an almost similar idea posted back in July '04. The over all feel of the merchant community was that it wasnt such a bad idea, but that there should be no way to deliver the items. Keeping people out of Player Cities, is not a way to fix the game. And ultimately, although this is meant to save time, it will result in every player city dying. This idea as it stands will have several negative reprocussions on the galaxy as a whole.
This is going to effect merchants first and formost.
Then it will effect the crafters.
Then it will increase the amount of traffic in NPC's, which we are already fighting to have decreased, and decrease the amount of traffic in PC's which we are trying to find ways to increase.
Please discuss these changes with the people who they will effect before you make it go live. This was not submitted as an "In Concept" idea, it was not even addressed with our coorespondant. She was as blind sided about this as we were. Please, I beg you on behalf of the merchant community to reconsider what effect this idea will have on the economy as it currently stands.

Please, everyone needs to jump on this bandwagon. If we flood their feedback with a big fat "NO" to this idea, they cannot ignore us.

Me too.
I sent them a rant letter. They ought to take responsibilty and actually read all of the arguments we give, and have a clue about how merchant and crafting works in the first place.
