Merchant Archive

I am sure someone else has thought of this but in the light of the almost installed galaxy wide bazaar I thought it a good time to toss it out again.

Why not have a Galaxy wide "news paper".

1. At n. merchant you get to have one or two adds that cost XX to run and only run for a few days.

2. At higher lvls you get more more adds that cost lessor run for longer.

A. Customers can then search for adds under different filters (meds, weapons, etc)

B. If they like an add they buy it (ie pay a small fee) and the add gets mailed to them with the details and waypoint. Part of the buy goes back to the merchant and part goes to the news paper (is lost).

Player events could also be advertised by anyone for a fee.

I think this would solve the empty vendor Easter Egg hunt and add content to the Merchant Prof.
