Thread: Does opting out of Global Vendor search work both ways?

I understand that this is a work in progress but under the opt out option, does that mean that players could not only not see your items listed on the global exhange but also not do global searches from your vendors?
To me this is pretty critical. I work hard to keep my vendors stocked and players visit my business because my partners and I keep our vendors stocked with quality weapons. Enabling a player to find the best deal in the galaxy in seconds reduces all my efforts to a contest to see who can sell the best weapon for the least. I've spent hundreds of hours surveying, mining, crafting, etc. and if player wants to find the best deal available he/she should have to expend a little effort of their own.

It really didn't say one way or the other. I don't know many merchants that want to give free advertising to their competitors. That idea has to go no matter what the final design is.
