So I thought I would throw my suggestion into the mix and hope the dev's will listen and maybe use some of it...or not...could be a bad idea.

So instead of a galaxy wide search I suggest a new terminal (or another tab on the bazaar or something) where Merchants of a certain level are able to list there vendors (place an add so to speak). This listing allows the merchant to leave a message of a reasonable lenth (advertisement for there goods). Along with this would be the inventory of this vendor; the items currently on the vendor, and the quantities BUT NO PRICES. This I think solves a couple of problems. FIrst, This would finally provide an alternativeway, other then spamming, for advertisement in game. Want to know who has what and where? Look on the advertisement terminal (or some other better name). Second, it allows customers to see that the vendor has the item they want in stock (a waypoint would need to be included in this system of course). Third it iliminates the concerns regarding price wars due to a "global price list".

So thats the idea. It's just the basics of an idea but I think it has the most potential to resolve the problems everyone is crying...err...concerned about.

This may or may not have been suggested before so if it has been suggested then...well...I guess great minds think alike... j/k.

I assume someone will suggest using the barking droids instead of the Bazaar or a seperate terminal. But I think the down side to that is the limited visibility for advertisement. The droids only sits in one place on one planet. A terminal could be placed in every NPC city...heck even player cities if the dev's wanted too.

good idea. several are floating around very similar. hopefully the devs will listen to one of them.

This is a great solution. It allows merchants a reason to be merchant if you add that you can advertise on it at a certain merchant skill level.. it is also quiet and would hopefully cut down on cnet spam.. or at least the length of it lol
