NPC vendors are bugged we all know this. They are only costing 1cr per hour no matter what the value of the items listed on it are. They are also bugged in another way. Sometimes the things bought and/or listed on them get in a state where the item cannot be retrieved. NPC vendors are the only vendor type that is bugged in both these ways. I have done days and days of testing.

You guys see the connection here. If wemerchants want to exploit the fact that NPC vendors are only charging 1cr/hr then we run the risk of our items not being retrieveable and losing customers and items. I am a merchant and I didn't want to run this risk. I now have 4 droid vendors and my NPC vendors were deleted. Sure the maintenance fees are high, 1 of my vendors cost 5000 credits a day but I don't have to worry about my customers not being able to retrieve an item. The comfort in that is worth the credits.

Click retrieve and as it is loading, cancel the retrieve, then refresh that screen and try to retrieve it again. Not saying that it will work for you but out of probably 30+ times of doing this it has worked 100% of the time for me.

Maybe I'm just lucky but I've never had that happen on any of my vendors. Droid or NPC. I've always managed to get them off with a 2nd try.

For the most part, the only time this happens for me is with splitable stacks... I have ONE customer who says he got a couch stuck in one vendor, and another who says spice got stuck in one, but beyond that, no one has had a problem with anything NOT a stack. I often have to do the repetitive-retrieve dance to get some things, but I've never gotten a normal non-stack stuck.

However, resource stacks are such a gamble. I buy and sell resources, and if I stop, people will stop doing it, so I have to keep buying hoping this will be fixed... I get a lot of what I buy, but some gets stuck forever... this happens on NPCs, droids, and terminals of all types. On top of that, the droids and terminals will barely hold anything, because my shop is near capacity... when it hits capacity, people can't offer items to my vendor, I can't sell more, etc, etc... everyone gets the Cannot sell invalid item error... would be nice if this error in ANY WAY made the problem clear.

Anyway, this is why I use NPCs now... not for the cost, but because they don't have the building item count limitation bug, and the other bugs I have (really, only the resource split bug) affects me on all of them... with 7 vendors in a shop, I can't do business with droid vendors, because then we couldn't have more than 240 items up for sale in the shop, period... of course, by using NPCs, I opened myself up to having people constantly come and kill them for some sort of oddly pathetic entertainment, but... well.. um... *sigh* ok, there's not really a GOOD side to any of them.

Jebwa I do the same thing lol. Works well for me.

However, once in a while I will not be albe to retrieve an item at all...usually a resource container.

My other favorite bug is buy-it-and-lose-it-on-the-shuttle. So many times items just purchased *poof* and then return at their leisure later in the day or next day. Always had them return, but looks bad to sell things and then have my customer wonder where it is.

I haven't had anything stuck on a vendor as of yet and I believe I've had 2 for 2 weeks thus far... at most it takes two tries for me but I always get everything. I also think they fixed the NPCs and any new ones now cost however much they should cost, it's just the old ones that still cost 1 cred. I wonder how long it'll take em to fix prepatch vendors....

Here is the workaround I found that works to retrieve stuck items from my Vendor.

I hate how so many times someoen will buy a weapon from my vendor and it will suddenlly have no stats and will act like they are unarmed even though they see a gun. and then they try re-logging to fox the problem and thier gun goes poof. only to return the next day.. somethin has to be doen about this... And I know I bought a helmet from someone got on a shuttle and it went poof been gone for 4 days now I dont think its coming back.

As far as un-retirvable.. Cancling and trying again always worked for me on everything but 1 stack of resorces.. Someone offered my vendor 2 stacks of resorces at 1 cr each.. and I only managed to retrive 1 of them.. other is stuck.. I'm not worried cuse I didnt lose any cash over it just annyoning.

A) I have only had one instance in which a customer had a problem with an item purchased from one of my NPC vendors. The person was unable to equip the weapon he bought. I told him to give it until the next day and if he still could not equip it, I would refund his money and he could keep the weapon.

B) I have a hard time accepting the fact that the bug is not on the non-npc vendors.Yeah, I know they are working 'as design' but that design is flawed and a design flaw is a 'bug' in my eyes. In RL, the Gap orBarnes & Nobleor <insert some store here> does NOT pay their employee more just because they just received a new shipment and they have 100k in inventory rather than 50k. It isn't like a Coke machine costs any more to operate when it is fully stocked, why should my freakin' robo bartender? I'm not saying the maintenance isn't low on NPC vendors, but anyone that thinksmaintenance rate on non-NPC vendorsis reasonable is just plain crazy.

Someone tried to make a new vender without unloading their first one. He relisted the Items stuck in his storeroom. I bought 2 and I cannot retrieve them. Cancel and refresh does not work. These two items are counting against my Bazaar sales. I can only list 23 now. They need to implement a way to delete a sale until they get this fixed.

Deplo, just create a ticket & wait a few days. I had some items stuck in my stockroom (because I didn't know I had to unload one vendor before replacing it with another). If you are lucky, like me, you can not only wait over a week for no help (being told, "This is a known issue, sorry" isn't helpful to me) and then have the items disappear from your stockroom. So, just give it a little time and it will probably sort itself out (although, you might not be happy with the end result, as I wasn't).
