As i was hoovering over the rotting corpse of Zarxeq, slowly removing 50 something items from her, an exploer wanders into my shop.

She was dead when i got here i tell him.

Anyway he starts to shop...

Then all of a sudden he starts to open fire on her...

He jumps back and exclaims **edit**! and aplogizes.

Its ok she was already dead i tell him.

He swears all he was doing was browsing and sudenly he was attacking her. He says he dint do anything.

While i know people are getting tehre jollies beating up the vendors, has anyone else heard of this. could be some of the murders are unintentional

Well, a few things could happen. They could have accidentally attacked it (if you are typing into a number dialog, and have a key setup like EQ where numbers do your hotbar, and you have a combat hotbar up, trying to offer 1234 credits for something is likely to have some interesting result ).

However, I've gotten REPORTS of our vendors just attacking people for no reason. This might be because they are grouped with someone who accidentally attacked them, they might have accidentally attacked them unknowingly themselves, they might have been lying... who knows, its never happened to me.

But I've been TOLD more than once: "what the heck, your vendor attacked me!"

I didn't even know they could actually attack at all, just BE attacked... but if they did attack, that WOULD put someone into combat mode and they would attack back without them doing a thing.

We should be able to give our vendors guns and armor and they should have an attack rating like a master marksman ;-)
