Thread: Naming Vendors Post-Advertising III Why Not?

Finally got Advertising III tonight and just realized all my vendors are simply generic names (i.e. "Weapons", "Tailoring", etc.). Is there a workaround to re-naming my vendor without having to pull every item off and re-plant it? If not, I suggest allowing us to change the name. Seems logical, afterall, if people put new goods on a vendor.

As far as I know, there is no way to rename a vendor, other than emptying it out, removing it, and recreating it.

The big problem here is the very restrictive naming filter on the vendors. My PA is called Syndicate, but the filter doesn't like that name (I narrowed the problem down to the letter "dic"). I finally has to spell it like out official PA Name: Syn'di'cate.

One of our architects came up with an official name for our builders: Syndicate Architectural Associates. But of course, the filter does like the first three letters of the last word.

Finally, another Architect wanted to name his shop Relkin's Homes and Furnishings. But again, the filter didn't like something about that name, and he finally had to settle for Relkin's Homes.
