Ok, without rehashing the gory details too much, when I saw Q's note about houses on the advanced planets this morning, I rushedinto the game to grab my store and factory off of Yavin on the chance that they'd be deleted by the update.

I picked up all my possessions but there simply wasn't time to empty my vendors. They didn't have anything too outrageously fabulous on them--about ten weapons, some stacks of hides, some crates of droid batteries and upgrade kits. Some lost maintenance on the house and factory and vendors.Too bad, but I'll recover.

What I'm worried about, though, is that destroying the house with vendors still live inside of it is going to bug me something fierce. Has anyone else done this before, and if so, did you have any problems setting up new vendorsafterwards?

DON'T DO IT!!!!!

#1 You destroy house with vendors in it... You're vendor turns into a ghost and can't be used again... The game acts like you still have him up and you DON'T get XP from these ghosted merchants...

I have bugged it already, but my bug reports are filed and not read for some reason... I think I made a couple of dumb bug reports so they put my bug reports on ignore...

#2 Your items that were on the vendor will remain in the galaxies wasteland for eva!... They will ALWAYS show up in your "REGIONAL" section and you can not do anything to them...

I'm hoping that my dead vendor will some day die of starvation because he ain't been paid in 2 weeks but at this point I still have one merchant missing...

That's what I was afraid of. At the time, I didn't think I had any choice--it was reclaim the house or lose it, or so I was afraid from Q's note.

Great. So, no using vendors until a CSR contacts me, and maybe not even then. GREAT.

Phew.

It turns out that I didn't have a problem either. It let me put three new vendors up. Thank god.

Before you finish celebrating, go back and check your vendors. I had/have the same bug for three weeks. I too was able to immediately put back up the same number of total vendors I was supposed to. The bug doesn't affect your number of vendors.

Do this check: Open up your vendor and look under stockroom. Swith the view from The Vendor to "This Region". See if there are more items in there than what you just put on the vendor and if they look like the ones that were in your house on Yavin. Attempt to "retrieve" them. See if the dark screen "retrieving" hangs up forever.

Next, when you get to a city, go to a bazaar terminal and look under available items. If you see the unretrievable items there also, with a location of either your current vendor, or Yavin, you have stock in the ghost world.

This shouldn't affect you much on your vendor, as you have a much higer limit on number of items you can sell. However, you may be over your bazaar limit if you ever use the bazaar still. (Ghost items count towards that limit.)

Good luck. I had a CSR ticket on it and talked to two different CSR's. They were unable to do a thing about it.

And the funny thing is alot of what shows up for sale to you can never be seen by players trying to buy anything. All you can do is remove all the items to the stockrom and they will delete them selfs in 7 days.

Well I must say I'm happy you guys didn't get the shaft to the degree that I did... I'm still waiting for my ghosted vendor to reappear... Now if only I could get the glasses of alcohol I tried placing in my cantina off the floor....

Yeah, I'm going to check for ghost items later today. I have seen one interesting thing with ghost items in the past, when I accidentally deleted a vendor with stuff still in it--ghosted items expire in 7 days, the same as any others, or at least that is the way it was for me. When they expired, they reappeared in the current vendor's stockroom.

*However*, that was in the same house in the same place as the vendor I accidentally deleted. I'm not sure what's going to happen when it's three vendors on another planet (that I can't even place a house on any longer). Fortunately, none of those three vendors had a huge number of items on them. In fact, I've learned not to place large amounts of items in vendors, if nothing else because managing inventory is such a horrible pain in the posterior at the moment. So even if it counts against my Bazaar limit, I should be able to place a few items in the Bazaar (I hope).

Can anyone confirm this is true?

If I leave the "ghosted" items in the stockroom for a week, they will finally disappear?

I keep posting and removing them from the vendor- hopeing eventually I can remove them. The increased vendor maintenance bothers me the most.

Actually, weirdly enough, the stuff that was on the Yavin vendors is just plain GONE. I mean, completely. It's not even ghosted into an unretrievable stockroom. It's nowhere, not on the Bazaar's available items, not listed galactically through my vendors. This is on the whole a good thing, but it's the first time I've seen deletion of vendors *also* delete items once and for all.
