If you're looking to excel as a businessman, it will be the skill that gives you the edge. As a Master Merchant you pay less maintenance on your personal terminals, pay less fees at the Bazaar, Advertise on the Global map, allows for multiple NPC vendors, train NPC Vendor to "bark" advertising to other players when they are near you building and eventual you are able to place a NPC in the city to promote your business. This is only for the true business man, because if you're a Master (fill in you expertice) and a Master Merchant, you'll find yourself surrendering most of your other skills.

Also, if successful, be prepared to do almost NOTHING but fill orders and stock your vendor.

I was on yesterday for 6-8 hours and didn't hunt a thing. (but then again I did around 2,000,000 in business too!)
