I have read the boards and I believe the following may be true, would someone confirm or deny?

1) I am a merchant miner who has run out of lots

2) I find a willing business partner and negotiate points of lease (Honer system as there is no coded enforcement)

3) I go to my store a select 'Place Vendor'

4) I select applicable options until vendor appears in my inventory

5) I go back to my new partner's shop while he/she is online and home

6) I give them the vendor in a secure trade.

7) He/She places the vendor down where desired in his/her shop

8) I initialize, administrate, and there after stock and handle that vendor as if it were in my own shop (giving my partner the pre-arranged cut per step '2)'

How am I? Did I get it close?

Well, the way it goes is you get administration privilege on the building.

So, let's say you meet a bio-engineer in need of a vendor, and you have one extra-vendor. You get house privilege and place the vendor. You then agree on a deal. Exemple:

3 times a week, you pass by the shop, pick up stuff he left on the floor of the stock-room, and fill the vendor with it, using price listing he sends you by email. He gets 90% of sales, minus vendor fees. And publicity if it worked right and didn't need reset.

Has anyone tried this by getting only Vendor rights to the building as opposed to full admin rights? I believe the way its supposed to work is that vendor rights is supposed to give you the right to run a vendor in that building, without giving you full access to the administerable options for that building. I know this didnt work in the past, but havent tried it since the big patch.

vendor rights only looks as if it was removed from the game last big patch.

You can however revoke Admin rights after it is placed, and the vendor will still work for the owner.

Yup, no more "house vendor rights", its admin rights and as a admin, you can pretty much do anything except rename/destroy the house.

So, there has to be a degree of trust.

Beleive Dev's will fine tune this but in mean time, this is thier bandaid.

Nope. The way that placing a vendor in another location works is:

1) You must have Administrator privileges on the location.
2) You create a vendor (either at home or at the location), and it's in your inventory.
3) You drop it where you want it, as usual.

Now you have a vendor in that location, which is manageable only by you in the normal manner. We have several vendors set up this way in our player cantina by people who are members of the cantina.

Note that I do *not* know what happens if you have your administrator priveleges removed from the location with your vendor in it. If I recall correctly, I don't believe other admins can destroy your vendor without taking the building down (which may cause weird things to happen.) I suspect that your vendor would stay there after being placed.
