Sorry if this has been posted before:

instead of having merchants pay maintence for NPC vendors can you change it to a commission system?

The vendor gets 10% of the sale AFTER the item has been sold. so merchants do not go broke waiting for someone to buy off them?

Then use the reduced fees branchin merchant to lower the commission from 10% at novice to say 4% at master. now we can stock the vendors to our hearts content and you still get your money sink.. everyone wins.

having to pay maintence on a vendor and going even one day without sales can kill you. not to mention you cannot sell ANY high level items. this will also resolve that issue.
