I believe I saw something like this whenever I placed items in my vendor. What exactly is this and how can it be used?

The stockroom is where items go if someone offers to sell your vendor something, and you accept it. You can then retrieve the purchased items from the stockroom. I believe that's its only feature.

Yep, that's the gist of it. You can store any items you want in your stockroom, and items that don't sell or you take down from selling go there.

How do you put items in your stock room? I put a bunch of stuff up for sale yesterday at my vendor and when I checked it today, several items made by me are in my stockroom. How did they get there, and how do I put more stuff in there. The particular class of items I sell are very hard to price as I can't see the details of their stats when I putting them up for sale. Using the stockroomwill speed things immensly.

The items go to your stock room if the sale fails for some reason (expires is the only reason I can think of off the top of my head) but I have had several failed sales show up there myself. Otherwise the only other way that things show up there is if people offer to sell you stuff and you accept. That and when you withdraw an item from your sales. That is where you go to retrieve it.

Use caution with your stock room. CSR just responded to my ticket on why I lost over 200+ items from my stockroom. It is a game "feature" that all items not sold or retrieved after 7 days will be deleted. This may be common knowledge to most. But I had no idea or I would have retrieved my items.

Few things I see logically wrong:

1. 7 days? Normal people take two week vacations once a year. I am fortunate enough to take two week vacatons twice a year. Therefore, unless I pull everything off my vendor before I leave it will be deleted before my return.

2. If we place something on a personal vendor why should there be a time limit of 7 days to sell an item. The item should remain on the vendor for sale unless I remove it or it is sold.

3. Where in the manual or any other printed material does it say items will be deleted by the game after 7 days?

Poorly designed customer support systems will cause any business to loose customers and ultimately file bankruptcy. You would think SOE would have strong, client proven customer support systems for MMORPG's after the trial and errors they had during the 4 years of EQ. The customer service for SWG has been the worst I have seen for any MMORPG (period)
