Sorry if you hear this a bit. Just I set up a vendor, and I was planning to start a little mall with some friends. I'm only Business 3. I set it up, and to test it, I put 1k maintaince in, and an item up for 100k. I find I can only get 1 hours maintaince for that. What's the deal? Is there some skill which reduces this by a LOT. And if not, why are the devs punishing people who get more skills. Someone with no Business skills can go shout out in a Startport to sell there items. But when I set up a vendor, I lose 1/4 of my profit in a day. Does anyone actually use vendors to sell big items like full composite and houses?

Sorry, got a few calculations wrong. I put 100k item on. And it costs 101 creds per half hour. So that's 4800 per day. Not as bad. But why do the devs want to punish people with more skills. Would be a lot easier just to shout "Selling insert item name here" in a Starport.

Hmmmm.

To answer your question: if you want to sell big items on a vendor, I reccomend you get an NPC vendor. Of course you only get this at Novice Merchant, so start saving your points. Yes you could go to the starport and peddle your wares there, but the vendor allows you to sell when you aren't online. The bulky vendor you get at Business 3 is only good for getting the required merchant xp to train Novice Merchant. Otherwise, the Terminal and Droid vendors are just credit sucking machines, that eat up your profit. Now you know why we Merchants are screaming at SOE to find a workable solution to vendor mainainence.
