This is a begging letter to get another field on the vendor maintenance screen ( doesnt need to be visible to customers). We need to be able to see how long goods are left for sale on the vendor - and when they are likely to expire - without having to delve every single item in the vendor.

At the moment you can only see how long an item has by looking at the details of EACH item in the vendor. I dont know how many times I have spent HOURS in my house - sorting stuff, refilling vendors etc, to then fancy a jaunt across the galaxy. I guarantee the second I step off the starport on some distant planet - then half the items in my vendor decide to expire.

Because we cannot be sure anymore of how long they will be allowed to sit in the stockroom - as I lost the contents of three vendors after taking some holiday recently, I am too afraid to log with items in the stockroom - and end up cutting short what I am doing - to travel back and re-sell those expired items.

I can see whats going to expire in the bazaar and plan to withdraw items in good time so that i dont have to attend the bazaar every day- but cant do this on my vendor.

Showing this field would allow the merchant to sort against it - and thus withdraw and re-sell anything due to expire before they planned to visit the vendor again. At the moment - you can only sort by name, price or category - as the default sort you get when bringing up the vendor listing seems to be in order of the serial number of the items ( and thus very random if you restock) - and thus no indication of when it was placed in the vendor.

It would be especially helpful if a time was displayed on the stock room items (both vendor and bazaar) - to indicate how long it had left before deletion or failing that - how long it had been there. This again would allow us to manage the items with planned effort - rather than having to panic to get the stuff back up for sale in case it suffers deletion?
