From the minute this game came out I wanted a shop with vendors. But then I learned I need merchant to go ahead and do this. So I did. But it held alot of skill points for something I do not use anymore. With everyotherproffession you use the new skill points and mastering the proffesion does something. If I start a buisness why should i go under just because I drop these unused skill points. So I have an idea.
Maybe Merchants should get manager skill points. Let non merhcants buy vendors from merchants and then hire the merchants as mangers, You use the vendors as normal but every week you have to pay and extra fee to the merchant that placed the vendor for you. You all decide the fee yourself and that is it. Non Merchants keep the vendors and People with the Merchantskills get an extra fee a week. If the manager drops the skill points you get a mail and 30 days to find a replacement.
There a soultion we can all agree on.
/disagree
So you think I will be happy when theonly benifit I get for my inventment in skill points isacouple of credits at the end of the week?
I don't think so.

If you start the bidding at 10% of your sales you might have my attention for a few minutes.
When they make the change and you have the have management skills again before your vendors work you won't be able to talk about how your skills don't give you any ongoing benefit.

From the minute the game came out, I wanted a shop with vendors too.. So, I invested the skill points into merchant and I keep them there.. Seems like common sense to me..

Irregardless of how wellyou may or may not argue your case, that subject title basically kills any sympathy or understanding other merchants might have for you and your situation.
I was thinking that, but you took the words out of my mouth

What it does is frame the discussion as "how do I get rid of this profession" Not a good ground to start a discussion on in a professional forum. And the proposal itself is not new, not very realistic, and not something "we can all agree on"
That's silly. Most of us are also crafters and decided to take the SP cost to have our vendors. Some people decide not to, and we feel that we should have some advantages over them, how is that feeling threatened? People just have to spend 9 points to get a vendor, why are they trying to convince everyone that it's the end of the world? Why can they expect to have the same advantages than people who have spent way more points than them in the first place?
It's a choice. If you want to have a vendor to sell your stuff, spend those 9 points... it's not the end of the world.

And this is one of the reasons I could never be a correspondant.
