Thread: Publish 10 Backpacks : What do you understand in this sentence?!

I quote the publish 10 update :

Professions: Merchant

When storing backpacks on vendors, the items inside the backpack will count as one item, but the backpack itself will NOT be counted against the item limit. An empty backpack will count as 1 item.

it makes me think that ALL the items within the back pack count as ONE item : AS MY VENDOR SHOW : i have for sale 24 backpack and my vendor list "1-24" items and NOT "1-600 items"

I have business III whatever and one vendor and the right to hold 100 items

I put initially 24 backpack more or less filled with no difficulty, the vendor accepting them.

Today i connect and i CANNOT put any more items in it, i wrote a CSR ticket telling him the problem and i got the answer :

"This is perfectly normal, a backpack count as much as the items within it"

Contrarly to what list my vendors, still displaying "items 1-24", and sounded in contradiction with how the sentence is presented : so may you all tell me how you understand this sentence?

And Doc may you confirm/contradict what the CSR wrote me? If he is right then i seriously think about canceling : everything is made in this game AGAINST storage : don't tell me that 24 lines of text X 50 lines of text inside a vendor will make soe's database crash!

It means that the pack works the same on your vendor as it does on your back. Each item in the pack counts as one item against your storage limit.

ie: 13 items in the pack, counts as 13 items on the vendor +1 for the pack itself.

Actually, it works just as described in this quote except the backpack is not counted unless it is empty...

Also, they added a total listed items in the STATUS option for vendors... Nice addition... ^_^

Yes, it means that each item counts towards your vendor item total, just like we figured it would. I've tested it. had 108 items on a vendor, puta bag on the vendor that had 12 items in it. The item count went to 120. So the bag DID NOT count since it had something in it, and the items inside it DID count as it was supposed to.
