Vendors are barking at not only barking to player characters... but to other vendors, to creatures walking by outside... and to vehicles that drive by. A very strange bug imo that needs correcting... if you notice this please do a /bug and fill out the report.

Aye I had this happen yesterday. Which can be painfully annoying if you have many vendors in a pa hall.

Vendors keep trying to sell things to my swoop when I go shopping. It's both comical and annoying at the same time.

"You look like a crafting type, Speederbike."

Yes, I agree, it's a bit silly.

The Kitten's Diary, Day 781: I have discovered a most delightful way of making life miserable for my captors. Yesterday, I ate the woman's precious begonia, and today I have dismembered the amaryllis in the bedroom window. She is furious over the loss of her darling house plants! I find it highly gratifying.

They need to fix 'con' radius actually.

When you get into a mall it is completely VENDOR spam.

And while they fix those bugs they should make it so vendors don't greet their owners. I don't need my vendor to tell me that I can get custom orders from myself. I already know that.

Also, they shouldn't turn to face everyone they greet, especially not if said customer (or bike or animal) is behind the tent. Having the vendor facing a wall is just plain silly.

Yep, I've seen this - very lame and annoying.

"Hi there, Vendor - 10 Item Storage Droids - Coronet! Warryyr's got some fine droids made up that will surely serve you well!"

I spent about 40 minutes in my shop building droids and almost went mad. I just turned the stupid thing off until I left. So, could someone tell me, what DID work with Publish 10.

Oh, and also, my main droids vendor is an Ithorian who stares at the wall. Constantly. It looks pretty stupid. He's in a Corellian house in the middle room - so anyone who walks in down the initial hallway makes the Ithorian turn towards them - and then perpetually stare at the back wall (away from my customers when they enter the middle room).

I don't use my barker very often. I have an empty'shop manager' vendor to greet my customers when they come in my tent. She started greeting my other vendors the other day. It amused me.

Maybe they could do something like a house's entry list and make a "no bark" list.

The vendor wouldn't bark at anyone on the list.

It could even be auto-filled with anyone on the building's admin list.

This way it wouldn't waste time on barking at any other merchants who have just come to restock their own vendors.

Of course to have this, you'd want a "test bark" button so you could make sure that what the vendor says looks the way you want it to.

Hey you cant blame them for effort.. we hire them and tell them to do a job and they do it to the best of there ability. It is a little anoying though.. esspecially when they greet me. It smells of lazy programming.. not wanting to put in the extra effort to make things right... all they need is a few if statements so that it only asks players that arent the vendors owner.. but hey I havent seen the code.
