Since the start of the game, I have often wondered why the game has this disparity between the classification of items on a vendor, on the bazaars and on the planetary maps, and why its never mentioned in the wishlists.

For example, on my vendors (and on the bazaar) I have a listing for Deeds, yet on the planetary map it is listed as "Houses"! Weapons are weapons, Armour is Armour and thats about the only commonality there is (with resources being the only other exception). I know that this has been a common source of irritation for potential customers (especially for us architects) with buyers ending up ditching ever using the planetary maps as a way of finding vendors - mainly owing to the fact that its pretty much useless to find anything aside from Weapons, Armour and Resources.

Oh and can someone please tell me whatever happened to "Armour Powerups"? They have been listed on the bazaars since Beta 2and have never surfaced (would love to make a lightsaber resist armour powerup ).

I'd dearly love to see some more categories added to the planetary map listings for vendors, especially ones like "Loot" or even a "Misc" to cover general vendors, "Bio-engineered Goods" and especially "Food". Making it more match the crafting professions would be a great start.

I think another perk would be to allow a vendor to be registered in multiple categories with enough merchant skill. A master should be able to register a single vendor in every category (with an appropriate adjustment in maintenance cost).

My "vehicles and droids" vendor is more vehicles than droids, but I can't register it as both, and (if memory serves) there's no vehicles category anyway. Maybe I should just rename it 'mechanical things' and pray.

Then I have another vendor that's for 'everything else' that easily falls into several categories. All I can do is list it in "equipment" and hope for the best.

This is a major issue in the Merchant boards and is on the merchant "wishlist". I too hope it is addressed soon.
