I dont follow the merchant forums much, and Im a master Merchant.

I was wondering if Merchant was going to get a Revamp or any major changes any time soon or later.

I was hoping so, but based on recent developments in the In Dev forum, I doubt it. If they do anything significant before the combat revamp, there'll be hell to pay. And the combat revamp is post-JtL. And JtL is still in development. I suspect that if Merchant gets any non-superficial loving, it'll be in the 2006 timeframe (no exaggeration - it could easily take all of 2005 to get combat classes and the GCW fixed up, if past history is an indication).

As for me, Doom 3 is coming out soon, which might be all the motivation I need to cancel my account and come back when the game is fixed.

Yeps. quite honestly.. as far as the overall game is concerned... merchant works just fine. They have plans to fix vendor poaching supposedly.. but who knows when it will actually happen. And with all the other things they are working on right now, I can't see merchant being a priority.

Hmmmm....

This is one of those times where Marqie would tell us to read between the lines.. when she knew something she couldn't share...

We have a proposal for revaming the interface of the vendor and getting some nice features implemented.

Dont' give up hope that this will be done soon.

Sounds good to me. As long as I get to make a music box for my shop, like the one in one of the training halls in Bestine (I think its Bestine).
