Has anyone else noticed that lights seem to decay while on a vendor. I put some lights on with aprox 28 days lifetime - now they have just fallen into my stockroom and they only have 6 days (maybe this is an old bug ... maybe not even classed as a 'bug' ... but I just noticed this after Pub 10).
I know that lights decay one at a time while in crates - but I took all these lights out of crates and put them individually on a vendor.
Anyone else experienced something like this ?

lights decay out of crate on a vendor just like they are set on floor or held in inventory
so three options
Split into single sell crates (which yes the light may burnout by itself instantly when drawn from crate)
Sell as # in crate (they buy 5 and possible four remain lit if one burnsout)
Sell single out of crate ( and watch timer of life span drop, replace burnouts as they decay)

When in a crate, the FINAL light pulled from a crate will have decayed. All the others will be at full charge.
So if you empty the crate, you will get 9 full power lights and one that has begun counting down.
I did an experiment once and did a9-1 split on an expired crate.
The new crate of 9 was at full charge and the crate of 1 had expired. When I pulled the 1 from its crate, it was burnt out.
However, the final light in the newly formed crate of 9 began to decay and the same result was achieved on an 8-1 split a couple of weeks later.
Basically, the only way to truly sell lights so that you don't end up ripping off the customer is to price your crates of 10 as crates of 9.

Please make sure you guys report this on the archtiecture board as well. I know you are talking about the effect it has on your ability to sell them but the decay issue should be collected in the place most likely to get changes to them and that isn't the merchant forum.

It was reported when in TC, it was reported when it went live. I posted over in architect forum just a few days ago, asking if problem was still around, and it is. When a problem stays a problem for six months, it isn't going to go away. It is just worked around. It is pertinent to have it mentioned here, because merchants will quite often deal with crates of consumables, such as lights.
When a crate of lights is on your vendor, the last light in the crate will degrade, and if left on the vendor long enough, will be burnt out by the time the crate is sold. So price crates of lights to assume that the last light left in will be burnt out, and unusable. Perhaps mention it in the comments section of that item, though that is a pain to have to do.
