2 days ago i moved my house (and vendors) when i set them up again in the new location i was able to put less than half of what i had on before.

no my char has 2430merchant and previous to this I've had no problem pulling down and putting things on/off my vendor...i dont sell a lot and do tend to hide some of the nice stuff on there ( the cpl packs of NS shard/layers and such)

now im being told by a CSR...actually 2...that they count the Contents of the backpack as well as the pack against the total item limit...

...when was this changed?? Seeing as i had MORE crap before i moved my house and i was able to keep putting stuff up on the vendors...

When the changed it to 12 vendors and 4000 items. It did not count (4000 limit or your max for your total vendors) if you had the items on vendor but you pull them off and tried to put them back it does.

so you can only have 4000 items including the contents of packs at master merchant now? my understanding from reading the boards was that a pack+contentswould count as one item. were we lied to again, or is this another "enhancement?" and are there any alternatives to deleting large volumes of valuable resources or other items?

this may be a game breaker for me.

Sony knows there is a storage issue. They just haven't done anything to address it.. liek increasign resource stack sizes. Vendors are not meant for storage, though I do understand the plight of those who use them for such. Many crafting profession literally need this type of additional storage to function in some semblance of efficiency. It's not about stockpiling and hoarding oodles of stuff, but about needing that stuff to produce reasonable quantities of product.

I'd love to see a warehouse structure for 'deep storage'. Maybe even put a timer on it so that you can't pull out stuff anytime.. but request it and then get it the next day or something. I'd really like to see a feature to stack a small quantity of resource on top of an inferior resource and have the small quantity take the stats of the lower resource. But that is just wishful thinking.

They figure that if backpacks only count as one item, regardless of what is in them, that people will "exploit" this and use their vendor for storage, by putting 50 items each into 4000 backpacks, which would enable them to have 200k of items, rather than 4k of items, on their vendors.

Of course, the whole storage issue for crafters and collectors of loot is not being addressed before they implement these changes, partly because Sony feels there is no storage issue.

Don't let the negative AFKophobes get you down. Play the game however you want.

Is the beta testing almost over for this game?

agreed...my one char is a crafter and the other is a loot hunter...so i have a lot of loot as well as resources and items laying around till i get it used, sold, or given away. and a Warehouse/deep storage would be perfect for me...as well as most players...

Simple solution to the storage issue for crafters would be to associate storage levels of a Wahrhouse stucture with skills gained in the crafting tree.

As you progress up a crafting tree you gain more space to hold stuff. These mods would stack (A WS/DE would logically need more space to store stuff than just a WS alone) with storgae levels caped somewhere in the upper Usefull levels. Or what might be easier would be to have these skills increase the space of our Saftey Deposit Box In the Bank.
