Something strange occured to me. I placed a vendor named "SPAM Vendor". Not knowing completely how to get XP I placed some items on and off it and made people from my roleplay community acces it. This midday (18 hours later) I acces my vendors. I have 700 Merchant XP. I sell a Tusken Robe to the vendor (it had been empty overnight) and my Merchant XP boosts to the XP cap of 10,000 immidiatly (just from 700 to 10,000 in 1 second after placing)! How the frell did this happen? I was business 4, not even Novice Merchant. Is this some kind of bug that made me feel lucky, or bothered that I didn't have a higher merchant tree to boost much futher, or is this intentional?

Not sure how you managed to get 10k in 18 hours. You should have seen it jump to about 2700. The xp is not generated while the vendor is not loaded into the world. Whne you go into the room the vendor gets loaded and figures out how much xp it owes you and generates it. This should have been about 2700xp @ 150xp per hour for 18 hours.

It gave a whopping 9300 XP, although I forgot to mention I had 2 vendors, yet I got it after placing this item, so that was strange. Perhaps because many many friends dropped by? Yet it was at 700, so only 7 entered and payed the fee.

Question not the merchant XP forumulae.. for it is mysterious and unknown.... try you must to forget it... just let it accrue... for it you think about, your head will explode.
so is the way of the merchant.
