First, let me apologize to those of this profession for posting a topic that may be of no interest to you. I am part of a dying tribe of gypsy nomad wanderers on the Radiant server. We are a primitive people, built around the entertainer, melee, scout, and crafter classes. Travelling in mounted caravans with no homes, we take great pride in avoiding technology and using simple weapons to hunt and defend ourselves. Our animals are essential to this survival, as our constant companions in all our travels. Gypsy dancers and musicians are not merely healers, but the spirit and essence of our philosophy...

I am trying to offer a different perspective to these unpopular professions, to give us a new clarity in these times. With the new JTL expansion here, much of the planet surfaces will empty I imagine. Our own numbers have been dwindling as of late, since this is a difficult life to lead. If this sounds appealing to you still, please read our listing for more information in the Radiant Player Association forum... and contact Tzitzimime with any questions you may have. I thank you for your time, and the use of this forum...

Tzitzimime - Creature Handler and Pikeman since the beginning.
I continue to play this game out of love for my professions.

When the "New Game Enhancements" go live, I will leave this game.
You can give it a pretty name, but it does not hide your shame...

"I mean, what is a pikeman and why is it something in the game? The only other profession we didn't absorb into one of these iconic templates is the creature handler and only 1% of our players play that character type."

That might be a tough sell. Merchant need a place to sell stuff. If the gypsies are nomadic and without houses, that makes the merchant class a little tough to play with your group.

Although now that I think about it, one could carry around a merchant tent or two and drop it when you guys make camp. It might be costly if you move a lot, but if the group shared the costs that might work. Hmmm. I might have to look into that It sounds interresting.

Chaosium, we do permit merchants to havea shop as long as it is not considered a residence. I am helping our seamstress build up two shops at the present time. Although I am starting to like your idea much more now, that would impossible for a novice merchant to do. We are not that restrictive that we would make a class nearly unplayable for our people. It is strange, because I was going to contact you before when I noticed you mentioned being a roleplaying medic in one of your earlier posts....

DamienLiu, you are always welcome to join us if you would like to make an alt for whatever reason...

Radiant is a fantastic server and frankly, the very best out of all the "big ten" servers (Bria, Ahazi, Gorath, Bloodfin, etc). Like all servers though, we're desperate for more roleplaying and less "Taco Bell" talk in-galaxy.
