is anyone familiar with the current market value of the kryant(sp?) tissue used in making weapons?

Krayt Tissue, and I've seen them go realllllllllllllly high. I'd say about an average price on my sever is about 35-50k a tissue. Guns made with them are selling in the 100k range. And selling fast.

That sounds about right ... right now no price is to high since the weaponsmiths merely pass the charge on to their customers

Well, it all depends on the tissue. Lower end tissues don't go for much. Tissues that only add about 30 damage I think sell for around 10K (at least that's what I've heard on the WS boards). The tissues that add about 70 damage+ go easily for 100K each. And my guess is that people will probably easily pay 150K to 200K for high end advanced krayt tissue weapons.

Can someone give me the "Krayt tissue for Dummies" explanation of what exactly this stuff is and what is does? Has this option always been here, or is it some relatively recent addition to weaponsmithing?

Looted enhancements off Krayts that WSs can craft into weaps. Can increase dmg, lower speed, etc. It's just one of the several different kinds of bio-type tissues that can be looted (i.e. Rancor teeth). Just that Krayt tissuesare more powerful and higher valued than most.

I have heard tissues selling for even as high as 130-150k each.
