Thread: New Merchant Ability: Personal Bazaars
My proposal is for Merchants to be able to set up a vendor that works much in the same way the regular bazaar currently does. Only difference is that the item limit is increased to say 30 and the cred limit is set to 20000c (maybe higher /shrug)
Scenario:
Merchant sets up this Mini-Bazaar in a PA Hall. Artisans of all types come to put up their wares for sale with a cost attached, say 50c (maybe adjustable by Merchant?) per item, paid to the Merchant.
Pros:
Everyone now has access to a vendor for rent for higher quality items.
The vendor is getting paid and gains XP for every item that moves in and out of his vendor. The merchant is not exactly out of the loop on consignment.
Cons:
Upkeep would be high on Vendor.
Would force the merchant to take responsibility of items "on consignment".
What happens if merchant lets Vendor poof? Maybe allow notification for those players consigning their items?
One thing, the 20,000c limit would definitely have to be raised... Many architects have objects (PA Halls, Large Houses, Factories, Heavy Harvesters, etc.) that would exceed that limit, so it wouldn't work ![]()
But other than that, great idea!
If it were limited to a PA hall, and only for those PA members, I would say maybe, but if it were a public thing, then I would say no way, because it is the very argument we had last week with the public bazaars, just in a diffrent place, and when Player Cities become a reality, then the "bazaar" is in town.
