Thread: Noob Merchant Question
How do you get the colors on the signs for buildings? and how do you get the signs that have like 2-3 lines of text? I see them all the time and can't figure it out. I have merchant skills 2-0-4-4.
Anyone?
You need to have a tiny bit of hex codes knowledge for colors and the ability to cut and paste in the game.
For cut and paste goto your keymapping (ctrl-O) and look for cut and paste then map your keys to this.
Next open up the ingame mail, start a new mail and use this mail to type out the name ya want for your building. If you want line breaks do it as well in this mail mssge.
Now cut the building title from your mail mssge, make sure your house setname text box is open, then highlight the setnname line and paste the title from your mail message here.
For text colors:
for text color ya must place before the text to be colored "\#FFFFFF"
the "\#" is to say a color is gonna be input. The "FFFFFF" is the actual code for a given color.
Heres a few examples of color codes:
Red: \#FF0033
Light Blue: \#3399ff
Light Green: \#33cc33
there are many other colors out there. Now that ya know about this just do a search for hex color codes or HTML refenence websites.

That gets you different vendors and you can dress most npc vnedors but the added bugs it's about useless. Use vending machines and go 3-0-0-4 (I use 3-4-0-4 which get me to list vendors, reduced maintenance cost, 10 vendors and 3k items).
only bug i see is with wookie vendors. and that ithorians can't hold weapons. hehe

Thanks for the suggestion all. Sorry I was out of the loop for a while. I definately want to be able to select different vendors. I have had to destroy many of my random ones because they were awful.
