I've been having some problems when it comes to book keeping because my times didn't seem right on my vendor emails. Just to clarifiy these are the notice emails you recive when someone purchases something off your vendor. not the Purchase email you get right after you buy an item... those times are correct.
I just tested this (I have two accounts)
Logged onto non merchant character, proceded to buy two items off one of my vendors, time stamp was "April 1 3:08.41 2004" and "April 1 3:08.50 2004"
Next i logged back onto my merchant character i looked at the emails i recieved, in the same order for the same items. "March 31 19:08.41 2004" and "March 31 19:08.51 2004"
There exactly off by 8 hours... I'm in So-Cal so i'm on pacific time or GMT -8 and wonder if the game is getting something confused...
anyone else notice this?

The fact that the times are off by exactly 8hours (to the millisecond) is a bit of a giveaway!
It looksthe times are getting adjusted on one side of the transaction, and not the other.

Is this consistant for everyone?
Is anyone not seeing the difference? I'll test mine tonight as well.

I'm begining to wonder if the system the sends you the notice assumes all purchases are bought in GMT and so to compensate its taking off eight hours becasue i'm in GMT -8
Now a good test of this would be to have someone on the east coast see if there times are off by 5 hours because there in GMT -5 and Centeral off by 6 becasue of GMT -6 and so on.

If you're on line when you get an email, it'll have the correct Date/Time stamp while you're On-line.. If you log off or messages you get while you're off line, they're now time stamped to GMT. At leat I think it's GMT. But not 100% sure.. Actually 8 hours would be right, as West cost would be -8GMT.
I'm 100% sure of this.. If you're on and only while you're on, new emails will have local date/time stamps.. When you log off all previous and any new you received while off line, will be GMT. The time Zone adjustment only seems to happen while you're on-line and only for stuff received while on-line.

is possible we could get a fix for this... or is this so low of an issue I'll just have to deal with it for a few years.

If you feel it is a top issue please post it in the Top Issue poll. I'll add it to our buglist .. I don't know how long it will take to get fixed. That is a measure not only of the priority but of the level of effort it takes to fix it.

It is a bit more complicated than that. I am in Australia, so I am at GMT+10. When mail arrives, time is correct. When I log/re-log the times are also out by 8 hours (GMT+2). This means the error is not related to server timezone, but is a client error.

Ummm...why do you care what the time says anyway? Great...now the devs will be fixing this instead of fixing <insert pet peeve here>
