Thread: Droid vendors... am i barking mad?

Being a DE it would be helpful if my Protocol Droid Vendor could actually bark.... just a thought. Why can't I have a droid selling droids and telling the customers about it.. seems mad to me..

Properly because droids (including the pink protocol droid) are classified as terminals. I think that NPC's and terminals use to have a different maintains, but I am not sure, and I guess it is left over code from back then.

There are , for some reason that I've never been privy to, subtle differences in how the Terminal/Droid vendors work and how the NPC's work. It isn't as simple as a graphical skin over the same vendor code. They are different. One of those differences is that the terminal/droid vendors can't bark. I agree that in the case of the Protocol droid it is absurd that he can't. I badger the devs about it on a regular basis. So far I've had no feedback on it either way.
