Sorry if this isn't the proper place for this, but i wasn't sure where else to go.
Up till now I've run a small power supply biz, but i was only doing it to help my friends power their factories and such. Well i'm at the point now where i'm getting into a good size surplus of power. I have vendors and decided to start selling it. Problem is, i have no clue what i should be charging. One of my friends told me that there is a formula that is somewhat accepted.
I'm wondering if anyone uses this formula, or if they have their own. Any help in figuring out pricing for radioactive power would be greatly appreciated.

Sell it from 1.5 - 2cpu depending on how you feel. There is no magic formula especially since the economy shifts from server to server. Just price it where you feel comfortable and see how fast it sells. If your not selling much, lower the price. If you keep selling out, raise it.

I price power using the following formula:
PE / 500 = (actual power per resource unit) X 1.5credits = sales price
So for every real unit of energy I sell, it goes for 1.5 credits. This is important because you may have different PE values... if you sell flat you'll be pricing a PE600 the same as a PE900 and the PE900 is inherently worth more.
Flat sellers are common, but if you were buying power, which would you buy first if they are they same price... the higher pe of course.... if pe priced, then it doesn't matter which power they buy, it's all the same real power cost.

I may have to start trying that out. I was under the impression that as long as the powers PE was over 500, it counted at 2to1. But I hadn't realized it is a sliding scale. When you are adding power to a structure and you have multiply types of power in your inv, how does the server determine which power is drawn from first?

Yeah 0-500 PE = 1 to 1 power ratio.
1000 PE = 2 to 1 power ration.
Sliding scale between 501-999
Just in case you run into new users, it's usefull to put a description item for 999~ credits on the vendor that explains the pricing system.

Yes, it does pull from backpack power inventory. That's where I keep all my power as I do my harvester runs.

power is pretty easy too find usually, i only buy 1 cpu or less, and usually 500 PE and higher.
