ok, i can get one brach to 4 and another to 3 in merchant, basically i have 27 skill points left after novice merchant. So, my question is: What is the best skills to get? I really dont need more than 3 vendors at most, i quite fancy reduced maintenence fees for harvestors etc, but ive heard its important to get listing on the planetary map...customising my vendors would also be nice. So, if anyone has any suggestions or recommendations, i'd love to hear them.

Thanks

Definitely get on the planetary map.

The type of vendor you get doesn't really matter all that much unless you have something specific in mind. If you have what people want to buy, they'll buy it from any style of vendor.

The discount is very nice and you can use it to reduce the maintenance of your friends' structures too.

If Item limits are an issue for you, go up the magement branch (though you can also get extra up efficiency too)

I realize this doesn't really answer your question, but hopefully they'll help make your decision easier.

You have answered the question, thankyou. I've made my chioce based on your comments I will probably go for 3-4-0-0 becauseI could do with the reductions at this stage and for planetary map listing. Thanks again for the advice.

With that 4 in efficiency you can also set up merchant tents. This is especially useful if you are in a PA that doesn't have a Master Merchant or someone with Efficiency IV.

depends on how many items you want to sale.. but.. either 3400 or 3004.. would be good. What the vendor looks like doesn't matter at all, no one cares as long as it has want they want on it. I would recommend against setting them to bark though, because as a customer nothing annoys me more than a vendor that spams the spatial chat with crap I couldnt care less about.

As far as the reduced fees... honestly.. it isn't worth THAT much. You can save some credits sure.. but it is such a small amount that you will rarely if ever notice it unless you are specifically looking for it. The reduced bazaar fees are the same way.. I mean the biggest fee you pay anyways is what.. 100 credits? big deal. And while the reduced vendor fees is nice, it is again only like 2 credits off. So not really worth the skill points. If it was me.. I would put the skill points in 3004... or however high in management to sell the amount of items you want to.. and then put the other points in something else.. maybe force sensitive skills.

EDIT: Like the other poster said though, the merchant tents are nice. Just have to decide if they are worth spending the skill points on.. or if a small house will do you just as well.
