Thread: signs? vendors on the ctrl + M map ?

both questions I have, firstly how/where do I get a sign for my vendor bldg ?
placed the first vendor, stocked it and stepped outside to notice that there still isn't a vendor there on the M map 
I see them everywhere, how do I make mine show? ty for your time

Each level in Management will give you a new sign.
You need Advertising 3 to register your vendor on the planetary map.

The sign doesn't change on its own. There's an option on the radial menu at the structure terminal.
You can change the sign on almost any building that you have admin to.

There are 2 things you can do with the sign:
1) You can change the type of sign on your building. The default is the square placard sticking off the front of your building. There are other styles of signs though - mostly different shaped pillars that sit on your porch. Experiment by changing the sign type from the building's control panel (radial menu)
2) You can change what the sign says. I think the default is (player name)'s house. To change this, go to the building's control panel and change the sign name (from the radial menu). If you want to add multiple lines or color to the signs, I think it's easiest to just type what you want in Microsoft Word or something, then copy and paste into the sign name from the radial menu.
For vendors on the cntl-m map, you need to have the appropriate advertising skill (mentioned a couple posts up). If you have this skill, then you'll be able to 'register vendor' from the vendor's radial menu. It'll ask you to choose a category, and you're set. You also need to have the vendor in good standing - positive maintenance on the vendor, and stock on the shelves...
