My guild currently has a "Love Shack" which contains vendors that only guild members can get to. We accomplished this by setting an access fee of 999999999 and then granting admin rights to individual members. However, we are moving and SOE has capped the access fee at a much lower level (50,000 I think)so we need a new solution.
I was wondering if there is a way to accomplish something similar using the guild hall. I know that non-guild members are not allowed in I'm but not sure if a vendor can be placed inside or not.
The other day I tried to enter a guild hall to access a vendor but was not allowed in so I thought it might be possible. Then again, I may have unknowingly had a TEF.

(Sorry for the spam but I posted this in Player Association and Business forums too)

I had a PA hall with vendors in it.
But I think you can't place vendors when it's private. And you can't make it private when there are vendors in it.
A guild I know resolves this by puttint things onsale for 10 million each. If a guild member buys it, that buyer can offer something silly back for 10 million and the seller then buys the offer.

...but what if they dont HAVE 10 mil. Hehe.
An idea is to make Guild:guildabbreviation on admin. Im in PoWeR, so "Guild
ower" (minus the quotes) would be on admin. Just drop the stuff on the ground.

Does that work now? Last time I tried it only worked on Access and not on Admin.

Yes, I know how to do that.A structure has to be public in order to place a vendor normally. Just wondered if guild halls work differently.

Guild halls can be both public and private just like a regular house can be. You can allow guild members to enter by putting Guild:Abbrev on the entry list but the entry fee is still capped like a regular structure. You are going to face the same issues that you would if you tried to use a regular house as you did before.
Right now, there is no easy way to distribute items to a guild. That is something I have been trying to work with the Merchant Correspondent about so we can come up with a solution and then request it from the Developers. This is one of our top 5 issues at the moment that we want to be resolved so rest assured you aren't the only one in this situation.

Guild halls are regular structures. They follow the exact same rules. The only difference is that it has a Guild Terminal in it.

I think even guildhalls have to be open to the public to put a vendor in so that won't work either. The only advantage for a guildhall is that any merchant in your guild can put vendors in there, not just the owner of the building like other structures require. I'm not sure if the merchant needs to be on admin list or not though.

You only have to be on the admin list to place a vendor.
Once the vendor is placed, you do not have to remain on the admin list to operate the vendor.
This is true of all player buildings (except possibly city buildings where only the mayor has admin access).

Only the mayor can place a vendor in city hall but after the mayor has left office she can still operate the vendor even though she no longer has admin rights there. It follows the same rules there just isn't any way to grant additinal admin rights to anyone in a City Hall.
