Well ive been restocking these R3 bombs for months cuase they just are not big sellers or people dont know i have um.. i sell maybe a crate a month,.,. ell today i sold my stock.. 4 crates.. should have sold for 210k.. but instead i missed a zero on last restock and sold um all for 21k what a bummer ehh..

also miss marked a tie advanced sold it for 6k...

Now i know its my fault but when you are reposting 500 items at a time and have a store with 2.5k items your bound to make a mistake..

/sigh

why cant we have a retock droid?? Or is that consitered part of the fun of merchant being a stock boy.. I wouldn care if i had to repost each item if the droid thing is outta the Q but why cant it repost at the last price and discription.. the the prices is already saved cuase if you double click on the item it says what it was posted for.. cant recall if the description is saved the same way.. but god it cant be that hard.

Im not lke most merchants.. i sell lots of stuff that is rare sellers just to have a nice selection. My customers want it soo thats what i do. but restocking 100's of items once a week repricing everything is a huge chore.. and can take me a good hour or more. And i purposly try to keep stuff at the same price to make my life easier.. but the wide scope of stuff i sell its just not really possible

Please cant we atleast get a repost button that it will retain the previous price.. ill click each one.. but come on.. its not really about the money loss. In a way i could care less, im gald my droids are being used to go hunt some jedi and i know he will be back for more and will send his freinds.

the point of this post is not to complain about the money loss,, its to complain that we really need a respost button. The money loss i just consiter advertising : ) but im not looking forward to reposting the 300 seperate resource lots that droped on sunday

I've experienced similar problems myself. Hurts like heck.

Well it took me 45 mins to repost stuff tonight.. they decrease wait times, reduce the time it takes for buffs,. increased house storage.. tons of other stuff why can merchants get a restock.. reposting items is just not fun at all.. it punishes people for stocking slow to sell items.. The guy that sells brandy or buffs or what ever could care less they have to restock.. i dont mind restocking,, but reposting bahh its awefull.those that like to sell hard to find or slow to move stuff just get killed with the system the way it is.

30 mins to an hour once a week to repost stuff just sucks.. there is no other way to put it..

Being a master tailor, master artisan, and novice shipwright, I have over 300 different items I could stock, and with the clothing...thousands of possible combinations. So when you have hundreds of itmes unloading on you, it's really depressing. There are other things I would rather do than spend over a hour restocking my vendor, every week, do I decided I do not want to keep stocking them anymore.

I now keep a very limited selection of goods on my vendors and I do most of my work via mail or tells now.

The one thing I hear over and over from my customers is "I can't find what I want on the vendors"... now I know why. I play the game for fun, not to have it control my time. It's a shame that the current vendor system is just frustrating for everyone.

Kudos for the merchants that keep well stocked vendors. Youworded forthe business and money you make.

This isn't a real solution to the problem (poor vendor interface that they don't want to fix), but it helps me work around the problem...

I only restock once per month. At that time, I pull everything from the shelves and start over. But I don't pull it all at once. I only pull items of a particular value. So I'll pull every item that's 10k credits from my shelves simultaneously, even if I just listed it for sale the day before. Then I go to the stockroom and re-list it all. It's not a miracle cure, but it saves time and reduces the chance of error. I can just point at an object in the stockroom and re-list it, without manually setting the price for each one, since every item in the stockroom at any given point sells for the same value. The /ui action defaultButton command might come in handy here too. Then I move on to the items at the next price. Once you're done, you've re-listed every item on the vendor (or group of vendors if they are close together). Repeat every 29 days or so (before the items naturally fall back into the stockroom)

I usually have several hundred items to re-list each month, so this process cut my re-list time in half. You can still add more items to the vendor at any time, but make sure to re-list every item during your re-list session once per month. It's probably intuitive to many people, but it took me a while before I thought of it. Of course, the best solution would be fore SOE to fix the stupid user interface so we don't have to jump through so many hoops to keep a shop up and running, but this band-aid might help someone in the mean time. Have fun.

I'm interested in the ui action defaultButton command! That sounds like it would help. The problem is that I think the "default button" on the main item screen is "refresh" or at least that is the button that is triggered when I press the enter key.

Here's a clicky to a post describing the /ui action defaultButton command.

I haven't tried it yet, but it looks pretty useful. It looks like you have to do something once (like restock an item), then run that command, and it repeats what you just did.

all the ui actiondefault does is actuate the default button,

exactly the same as enter will do on the active window.

Thats all...it is useful in macros more then anything, to progress a session along

(or for surveying sakes run a repeating one to kill off the popup you have found window -since default there is ignore, it will close the window-)

unlisting items by price and then relisting them is a 1 click 1 enter process really...

Delist by price, enter stockroom, select first item, sell button, set price, enter, sell button (because the next item highlights itself), enter, sell button, enter, til done..

go delist next round of prices, rinse , repeat, til restocked...

-of course this is for those who have alot of like priced items.

but even with no like prices, the sell button, type price, enter, sell button, type price, enter..works if you know your prices.

(as a tailor I have a print out of my prices on hand)

A restock button would be nice even if it was select item, restock button, select item, restock button...

stop looking at me

LOL if i did this i would spend all day restocking.. i have nearly 2500 items on my vendors as it is i do it once a week for about an hour.. and i sell 100's of different things soo there is no way i can just repost stuff with the same pricing.. ive changed my resource prices some waht to make it easier and but that makes some be a little higher prices than they should be and soem a bit lower but i just couldnt deal with a 2 hour + restock on resource restock day.. All my droids are different prices along with all the kits and battiers and paint kits.. Food is another one that has lots of different prices.. Trust me ive been doing this since launch and once a week is the best for me.. or it would be a 4-5 hours day onece a month and that would totally suck

Remove the time decay on vendors, it is one of the reasons we had so many vendors with nothing on them.

Restocking is pointless, wall marts inventory does not drop out of it stores every 30 days.

I agree with the time decay on bazaar, but on private vendors why does it matter if an item is there 1 week or 1 year, to have to resock up to 4000 item each month becouse they do not sale adds no value to the game.

Let the players deside if an item is worth stocking not a clock.
