New addition to the type of vendor you can place. Make it a unique look. But it would sell things at wholesale.
(I know what am I saying "sell things at wholesale")
Simple, allow a vendor to be set up to sell items at a cost per unit. Not this item for $$$.
This would be a great boon to resource vendors. It would also allow Merchants to stock this type of vendor with crates that would distribute items individually.
Ex:
Vendor: Cheap rockshas 200k of Steel for sale.
Rather than it having to be broken down into chunks. Why not allow the Merchant to set it at a 2cpu offer?
Customer 1: buys 200 units for a small project he is doing.
Customer 2: Buys 56,000 units because they need to do some armor crafting.
both customers get as much as they need. The merchant gets paid, and customers aren't annoyed because they had to buy more than they needed.
The same could be done with crates of brandy or grenades, or power-ups.
(/rant on) Please note: I am against the people who have crates of supplies in their pack. Crates should only be useable through factories, vendors or placing them in your home and opening them like a container. (/rant off)

This has always been my #1 request. Ideally it would apply to not only resource stacks, but also crated items. We probably don't need a special vendor type for this, merely a tweak to the interface allowing you to selecta "unit sales" option when you put something up for sale.

To the contrary, I think it's a fantastic idea. It's been suggested before, but I don't know if it's in the proposal that's up right now. I hope it is, it'd make things so much nicer for crafters and merchants alike.
