July 17th patch notes:

Vendors can no longer be traded between players.

So they nerf the most usefull feature with multipe vendors, the ability to place vendors in various locations without having to build more houses. Why couldnt they fix the problems with vendors before the nerf them? The broken merchant proffesion lost one of the few nice features with this nerf.

There is a work around. Have your friend transfer ownership of the home to you. Place the vender. Transfer ownership back.

So what happens to the vendors already placed?

I also have a VERY large inventory in my stockroom that I can't get due to a bug... Its there a fix for this?

Another Problem...

I was reading up on the class as seen it was stated that merchants could pay NPCs in town to bark ads for their business... I don't see this when I highlight the skills in game. Was this taken out too?

Why don't they just kill off the class if they don't intend on fixing anything. yeesh...

Anyway isnnt the unretrievable bug way more urgent than this??? Once you have 25 unretrievable items you can t use the bazaar...A merchant not being able to use the bazaar to sell items while any other profession can....isnt it something odd???

I d like to understand their sense of priorities..it might not be the customers priorities ones...

K, great. Did they fix where administrators cannot place/pick upitems in a house? Maybe we can't trade the vendors but are actually allowed to place them now if we have permission. I'm at work, so any info on whether or not this works would be great!

STUPID

The dang class is getting more and more restrictive, and it never had anything truely worthwhile that ever even worked.

Thanks!!

Still would like to know the secret of transfering a house without having to take it down.

I too would like to know how one transfer's ownership of a structure.

But in the meantime... WHAT THE **************????

Can somebody please log in and check and see if the bug is fixed so we can place vendors in houses where we are admin? If it's not, then SOE has shown they aren't ignoring merchants. They are trying to eliminate them. That was the ONLY way we could have merchants in other homes. Wasn't that the idea? So we could help sell in places where non-merchants lived and make a profit at it?

I'm dissappointed by this for sure. I guess I'm going to have to figure out a way around this. It's definitely going to put a kink inmy business contracts with suppliers. I have no idea at the moment how I'm going to deal with this, and it's not only unfair to merchants, it's unfair to suppliers who depend on us to sell their wares to a larger market.

If this is true (I haven't had a chance to check it out myself), I will not be happy. I have so far given everyone the benefit of the doubt, but I'm starting to lose my patience with this.

Apparently verified. According to a post I just finished reading/responding to on the main SWG discussion board, admin rights, vendor rights, still totally borked. We now officially have no way to run a business except stuffing our house full of vendors.

As I said there, I'll say here. I previously thought SOE was simply ignoring the broken merchant class. Now I see they are trying to eradicate us.

That hurts they did this but I'll find a way around it. I've found a way around all the other bugs to make merchant pay for itself 10 times over. Soon as I find a workaround for this I'll post it.

To transfer ownership of a buildings you target the building, or control terminal in the case of a house. With the person you are giving it to nearby type /transferstructure NAME OF PERSON. The building will be moved to thier lots and they will then own it, In the case of something like a harvester you are removed from the access list, so if moving your harvesters to a friends lot they will need to give you access back to them.
