The currentlogic on retrieving rejected items from vendors seems designed to grief players who sell to them. If the vendor is destroyed, not only is the item lost to its owner, but it alsowill permanently cost him a bazaar slot. I know, since I sold an item to a player's bulky machine early on as a test, and see a reminder of this bug every time I look atmy retrieve list on the bazaar.
At the very least, the item should be genuinely destroyed and not remain a permanent irritant. A little better, would be if there was an indication to the Merchant that there were un-bought items not picked up. I am reluctant to destroy my old bulky because of that.
I am not sure what is ideal. If the shop is still open, it could be picked up from any vendor. But if I close up completely at that location, where should the item go? The nearest bazaar would make sense, but the seller might have trouble figuring that out. Straight to his inventory seems too easy.
Well, until this is fixed, I at least have the satisfaction of having a nice club available should I get angry with one of my suppliers.
