Is there any way, short of transfering ownership of your house, to place a vendor in a house owned by another person?

You are supposed to be able to put a vendor in any house that you have been put on the vendor list by an administrator. Unfortunately several things about house administration are broken rendering this impossible until those are fixed. There isn't any eta that I am aware of for that fix or other fixes that cripple some very important aspects of the merchant profession.

The one vendor I have running in another player's house in our city was placed there before the swing of the nerf bat that stopped trading of machine vendors. (And she had to settle for a machine, yes, not an NPC.) I'm about to get another vendor in the skill tree, and it will likely sit empty in another room in my house just to hope it generates a little xp, since this aspect of our class (along with so many others) is completely hosed.
