Dunno the maint number but mine was costing 2.2k a day earlier today. I had 25 guns on there with 5k being the lowest and 7 as the highest. Really got ridiculous, but half of them were sold 6 hours later so the maint dropped pretty big. That's the thing, if you load up on stuff and you know you're going to get business you're ok, just sucks when a bunch of your money ends up in maintenance pool!

I got novice merchant and made one of the NPC vendors (fat male twi'lek). I put 8 guns on him for 4-5k each, and five hours later his maintenance rate is still at 1. I don't think anyone's used him yet, maybe the rates don't update until someone accesses the vendor.

Started playing with vendors tonight and found something odd. After loading 8 weapons on it for 2500 each, my maintenance cost jumped to 21. As a in-demand weaponsmith my intention was to load up my vendor with 30 or 40 weapons at a time, but with the maintenance rate as it is it's much more economical for me to just load them on the bazaar.

I realize the benefit of the vendor is no price limit, but with that kind of maintenance it just seems insane. Is anyone else seeing similar costs or do I have a bug on my hands?

Mine's up to 36 after loading 15-20 guns at 3-5k each. It ate two of the sales and dumped the money into maintenance, so 8k in it is enough to keep it running for 9 days...

Yeah this maintenance cost is way too high...im losing money as it is by not selling stuff for dirt cheap on bazaar cause im trying to get peeps to come out to the shop...i have this fear that there will be no economy and that peeps at crafting stations will sell stuff for cheap just to level up and my chat window in town will be filled will wts......wtb.....

The maintenance rate on my vendor is currently 250... which is totally INSANE. I do have 34 items totalling 186.5 Klisted on there though but still... 250 is INSANE.

They want to encourage folks to make shops and use their own vendors (more fun that way) but the cost structure just doesnt work out. I can list unlimited goods on bazaar for 6 days at 20 credits each and 3k each. Assuming I could break them down into 62 items and list for 3k each on bazaar,it would cost me 1,240 credits to list all those. Why such hate for us vendors? Either lower this ridiculous maintenance calculation or raise the cost of the bazaar please.

So, in short, I have to inconvenience my customers by making them trudge out to beyond the no-build zone and then I have to pay out the butt to do it? Its just not right.

BTW, my shop is located at (-851,-2860) NE of Bestine on Tatooine on Radiant. (shameless plug). I sell high quality (please note this does not mean high level... /sigh) firearms, branching into melee soon.

Since when? I've only ever been able to list 25. I use bazaar sales as a way to advertise my vendor, which has a much better selection of colors/items---which doesn't mean people actually use my vendor, but the thought that they might keeps me going...

I think the NPC random merchant you get as a novice merchant is bugged or something and has an upkeep of 1 that doesnt rise.

When I had my bulky vending mahcine I saw that upkeep rise.

I agree the vendor cost is way to high if you have items on it. I had over 100k of items and it cost a ton.

Is the cost calculated based on number of items or value of items?

The maintenance appears to be a function of the total price of the items listed. I had some furniture worth 20k or so listed and three houses at 15k each listed and my maintenance rate was running 170 or 4,000 per DAY. I was forced to delist the houses which brought the rate down to 70 or 1,600 per Day.

THAT IS OUTRAGEOUS, if my house is listed without selling for longer than 3 days I earn no profit on its sale. If its listed longer I lose money.

I was going to open another shop on Naboo, but with these rates I'm not making any profit at my existing shop.

Can we urge the devs to lower the rate?

I attempted to create a large number of reinforced cloth crates and put them on my vendor, then pay maintenance for several days (am going out of town and have a number of regular customers). Before I had even put enough for 2 days on there the maintenance had already hit 81 and was climbing fast.

I had to take most everything off and ask people to send in-game e-mails if they want something. Vendors apparently cost more to maintain than anything else in the game?! Ridiculous.
