Thread: Is this a workaround for split resource bug?

I read a suggestion similar to this - does it work?
Example: Seller has a stack of 1000 steel (call it Stack A, and assume it's never been split), and wants to sell it to me on my vendor as two stacks of 500. Will this do the trick, and make the stacks all retrievable as if things were working?
1. Split Stack A, creating Stack B with 500 units.
2. Split Stack A, creating Stack C with 499 units, leaving Stack A as 1 unit.
3. Drag Stack A onto Stack C, making it 500 units.
4. Sell stacks B and C on vendor.
The idea is that this procedure eliminates Stack A, thus getting around the problems. The logic seems sound to me. My question is, does this actually work?

Sir, it's quite possible that this game is not entirely stable.

I don't sell resources so I have no clue on the issue, but has anyone tried selling split resources in a Travel Pack? I know its a hassle but it may work for the time being and regular customers won't mind.

Simple Guys...
The NPC Vendors are the only ones that suffer the "Split Resources" bug, I use the Bazaar looking Vendor to sell my Split resources and have no problem whatsoever.
I ha ve not tested on the Droid Vendors yet but I do know for a fact the the Terminal Vendors sell Resources ok and the NPC ones are BUGGED.
