Thread: Merchant Guide?
I have been playing a Master Image Designer and I'm now working my way to Novice Chef, on Wanderhome. Anyways, I went a character building webpage to distribute my skill points and I'm thinking about putting some of my remaining points into Merchant. I'd like a vendor for the food Ican craftand the access fees also sound nice, for my Image Design. The question I have is, I can get to Novice Merchant with the extra points and I'll still have enough to climb up two of the skill trees (distributed seperately actually eats up my skill points more because the higher you climb up, the less skill points it costs). Anyways, with all the broken skills that aren't working and just due to my complete lack of knowledge pertaining to this profession, I was wondering if someone could provide me with a link to a nice Merchant guide describing what each skill does exactly and if it is broke or not. If you know of a guide like that, I would greatly appreciate the link! Also, if anyone has any suggestions on what skills might benefit me best in this situation please let me know! Thankies. =^.^=

As far as the best two to climb, I would personally take up Management and Hiring. But that's me, and I'm probably going to Master Merchant, regardless of the broken-ness. Each skill in management allows an extra vendor, and each level in Hiring provides more intereting vendor types, however, I think I heard Hiring 4 only gave a new Terminal/Droid, but that's still cool in my opinion. Sorry that I can't provide much more information. Maybe someone higher than me as a Merchant will respond. Good luck!

Thank you for the info. I was wondering, on the skill tree that gives a reduced price to vendors, structures, etc... Just how much cheaper is it?
I went with hiring and advertising so the few hours each day that it works people that know to look on the planetary map can find my vendors.
Why did i do that again???
I don't have any maint fees on my 3 vendors .. and the last time I used the bazaar I was only paying 16 credits to list my merchandise (I have not used the bazaar at all lately so I'm not sure what it is now but probably like 10 credits). I would suggest going up the tree (forgot the name at the moment) which gives you fairly big discounts on maintaining your structures and vendors.
However, one of my vendors says the maint. rate is 0 but still shows a loss of maintence, the other vendor seems to be fine, so its not 'working' as it should at the moment or it's not consistant at least. I like the idea of lowered main costs on all my structures, which includes the manufacturing plants, houses harvesters and the like.
