This is coming from a Master Tailor/Novice Merchant(working on master)...

I really didn't care what the vendor looks like but i just recently got Hiring 4. Naturally i want to dress up my vendor with some fancy clothing from master tailor line to impress my customersandgenerate more sales. But when i go through the vendors.. irealizeeveryone of them is dog ugly!! Come on, I'm at hiring 4 and i do not have a choice? The female human is always over weight, no matter how many times i scrap and try again. The twilek female is the onlyacceptable vendor to use for modeling clothes. Can you imagine putting a Exotic Leotard on a fat model? It'll have the opposite effect on my customers and my sales will pummel.

Now in the real world.. fashion/ad designers hire the best looking models to demo clothing. They don't hire ugly people to do it or it's bad business. At Hiring 4, i think we need more option on choosing the look of the vendor(either have more choices or make good looking default vendors). Because right now it's pretty useless to dress up my vendors with fancy clothing as it will mostly turn customersoff seeing how ugly that piece of clothing look onmy vendor.

Not to mention hiring 4's dressing up vendor is currently broken but that's another thread another day.

Took me lots of random generation and log offs to clear the inventory to finally get a nice looking Twi'Lek. Most of the times I got the same Bothan all the time.

I think this would a great side job for Image Designers. Image Designers should be able to be hired by merchants to come in and customize your vendors.

As a Master Image Designer myself, I agree that would be great if we could customize your vendors appearance. I'm going to be working up to Merchant myself, although probably not mastering it. It would be nice if the change consent was automatically sent to the owner of the vendor and it worked out cool. Although, the robot vendors would probably be bugged and disappear causing you to lose all items stored on it with the luck this profession is having...

I'd like to add my voice to the request that Image Designers be allowed to alter vendors...with permission of course.

This seems like a great idea (letting Image Designers modify vendor appearance), and another possible resource stream for them.

I think there's a possible exploitation/harassment/racism lawsuit due to the fact that all the Human NPC vendors appear to be Afro-American (w/ big ghetto booty) and pregnant.

The zabrak female I got at Hiring I wasn't half bad, actually. Since then I've been using the exotics like the Ithorian because they make more of an impression anyway.

Sounds like a reason to allow image designers to work on vendors with the owner's permission....

While there is very little in the Merchant line that does seem to be working, I agree this issue is a pet peeve of mine as well. If we can't get attractive NPCs by default, we should at least be able to force them to go 'under the knife' and pretty them up some.

Or maybe we could have another option in the vendor type selection screen? They could add "Attractive NPC" and have it cost a little more to hire the more attractive type of vendor.
