Thread: What will happen to my vendors if I decide to respec to Armorsmith ?

As we are now allowed to respec ... I thought I may give armorsmith a try. However I have 12 vendors all stocked. Using my 4000 item limit most of the time. Business is good and I don't wsnt to lose the vendors.
I am sure there are other Merchants in this position and would welcome any advice/ideas on the situation.

I have all these skills, now what happens if I give them up? If you sacrifice your merchant skills which grant you the ability to place and operate vendors you will be unable to place any new items up for sale until you have the skill to operate the number of vendors you retain. So if you are a Master Merchant and have 12 vendors and you drop your Master skill you must surrender 2 vendors before you will be able to put any items up for sale on ANY of your vendors. The vendor will continue to sell your items to customers during this time, you simply won't be able to put items up for sale until you have either retrained the skills you gave up or removed vendors to get back to the number you have the skill to operate.

Would the vendors also remain if i were to completely give up merchant including the merchant line in artisan or would i have to keep at least a basic skill in merchant ie artisan xx4x for my 1 vendor allowance and wait till the rest have sold out or items removed before i can remove that line as well.

Hmmm... OK I understand not being able to put new items for sale but can items that have not sold still be retrieved from the stockroom ? Assuming I surrender all of Merchant but keep Master Artisan AND leave all my 12 vendors standing ?

You can retreive items from stockroom as they fall into it.
You cannot add more stock onto any vendor until your vendor limit /item count has been 'dropped' to what you are allowed
BUT be warned it is known and proven that vendors randomly poof when you do not retain the skill to keep them
{they may stay for weeks, they may go in a day}
You may walk into your shop to find all but 1 vendor gone, and unretreiveable since you did not have the skill to mantain them,
the system deleted them and all items on such vendors are gone.

Definitely need to think this one out carefully ... could lose millions of credit worth of stock :-(
Probably stay as I am ....lol
