This is cross posted from the main discussion board.

Is this intentional, or is taxing Offers to Vendors a mistake?

I'm in the middle of taking over my Guild's general store in the player city of Vela. The first thing I took over was the Resources Vendor. The guild has a few people who supply resources to the vendor, with the amount they charge negotiated between them and the guildmaster:

I sell them for (amounts set by the guild master):
Power: 1.5 cpu
All non-scout materials: 2.00 cpu

The rates I buy these for (amounts set by the guild master):
Power: 1.25 cpu
All non-scout materials: 1.75 cpu

Here's the problem: These are sold to me in 5000 or 10000 sets. But wait, items offered to vendors are taxed (10% by our city)! So, I'm really buying them at

Power: 1.375 cpu
All non-scout materials: 1.925 cpu

...meaning that instead of making 2500 credits on every 10000 minerals, I make 750. I'm glad that I don't presently have to pay the Maintenance cost on the Merchant Tent, as I'm presently losing money because Offers are coming in faster than I'm selling.

Is this going to change? Hopefully?

I wouldn't mind that my sales were taxed, as it seems to be the biggest money maker our city has. I don't think I should be getting taxed buying items from my own vendor, especially seeing as how it gets taxed again when I sell them.

As for a real world reason that I shouldn't be taxed for Offers to Vendors: The person selling them is not selling them as a business, and therefore doesn't have a business license. The same reason that I can't tax Gamestop/EBGames for buying my used video games.
