Thread: Vendor experience, can you get usage exp if YOU browse your own?
Pretty clear question. If *I* browse my OWN vendor every 10 minutes to I get the 50xp pop? Yeah, look at my sig, its pretty obvious where this is coming from. I'm not in my house at the moment so I can't test it. I have a second account logged in doing the housekeeping to keep my 150xp/hour/vendor going. And I may have a macro that will get the usage exp every 10 minutes (I'll know in about 6 minutes if it works as I hope).
No. You don't get any xp from looking at your own vendor..that would be an exploit if yoy could 
Oh well, now on to my next question, anyone know a way to CLOSE the vendor list from a / command? 
the first half of using a vendor is opening the list. This can be done targetting the vendor and using /ui action vendorUse or /ui action defaultAction
The other half is CLOSING the list for 10 minutes or so. Leaving it opening and then using the vendor again will 'reopen' the list, but doesn't give the 50xp tick, even if you wait 10 minutes.
All this sounds like an AFK scheme that I'm really not interested in helping with.

Except that is to get around a bug where you should be getting xp anyway.

Thats a ridicilous claim. Vendors are DESIGNED to give exp over time. You are just making poor excuses for abusing game mechanics to gain exp faster, no matter how you twist it.
Merchant exp is just a matter of time anyway, dont know why you would bother trying to macro it.
