its normal becasue the default view for your vendors is REGIONAL.

Change it to THIS VENDOR and you will see only what is on that vendor.

Regional shows everything you are selling in a fairly wide area (at least 2 kilometers if I recall).

Wondering why I ever believed anything I was told on these boards.

To answer your initial question:

Yes, you are going nuts. Everyone is.

One definition of insanity is repeating a process and expecting different results. DId you burn your hand the 1st time you touched a match? You'd have to be nuts to try it again and expect not to get burned.

In a similar fashion, here we all are, expecting SOE to not play "Nerf the game until it's almost dead, then Monty Haul it to try and get/keep customers when the game's losing players".

Insane, I tell ya!

Ok...let me start by saying ...I am a brand new merchant, I picked it up to help me with my resource business.

From the start of trying to do the simplest tasks in this profession...Ive had nothing but problems. I went to place a bulky terminal vendor. It will not initialize. After spending some time looking around in the forums....and working at this task ...(that should be as simple as falling off a log) I got it to work after like a half hour.

Now, I just aquired the option to place another vendor. So, I tried to place the "bazaar looking" terminal vendor ....right next to my first one. I get the "it says its intialized, but its really not" problem again. Except this time, the work around in the forums wont work on it.

So, I remove that vendor and decide to put another bulky terminal vendor next to my first one. To my surprise it initializes properly the first time.( I almost fell off my chair)

So, then I happily start adding resources to my new vendor. Then I notice that both vendors are sharing the inventory!!! The first vendor shows the new items I added to the new vendor, and the new vendor shows all my items that I originally had on the first vendor!! What the hell is wrong with this profession??!!

Does anyone know how to fix this? Do I need to start over with both of the vendors?

Maybe a better couple of questions is this: How do you merchants that have been around for a while put up with such a buggy profession without ripping all your hair out? Is that why alot of merchants are bald?

The most burning question I have is to swg devs: Why in the hell areyou making new patches where we can mount a stupid bantha, when people cant even place a vendor properly?? I hopethe devs stand back and fix things like this vendor thing...before they go and make a huge "space exploration " expansion. Can you imagine how bugged this game will be by then, if they dont fix whats already in the game?

Glad to be of help. My invoice for issue clarification is in the in-game email system now.

Hey, I AM a master merchant, if I did that for free I'd lose my pink protocol droid's Ad Barking ability!

On the other hand, some of the recent "OK, we've heard the outcry from the community so we won't do ____" non-changes has me worried that SOE may be getting in the habit of paying attention to their player base, and if I can't complain about the game I'll have to think of something else to do after logging off!
