You guys are the retailers of the game! Are you tired of every crafter opening up their own shop so you have to scrounge for merchandise? Well i know you do selling a lot better than i can. More venders in more places than is possible for me. I'm gonna focus on production.
Now the other tailors hate me for this, just look at what my post caused in that forum. But i figure we can all benefit from this. Do you like the idea or should i just toddle of and open a vender in my house like they did?

Ihave started a chain of stores on Kettemoor with this idea. We're still getting set up, contacting various crafters, etc. But the premise is that I will buy from crafters in order to resell on multiple stores set up around all the major cities. This would also be good for the crafters, because their name will be on items, and I will list their vendor location as part of the item description. This could be a way for crafters to do factory runs of items for large-area sales, and still do custom orders for a few customers. Plus, I think a lot of crafters would prefer to distance themselves from the majority of customers (my favorite was the guy who frantically tell'd me to come help him kill the killer butterflies that had spawned outside the store).
Also, using these stores as a place for inexpensive items that aren't worth making for the high-end crafters. Cheap shoes and clothes (just about everything is 500 credits, a few are 1000 credits, and you can have any color you want - as long as it's black), CDEF weapons (experimented), batteries, crafting tools, etc. I'm also selling stim's with completely standardized pricing (uses * healing / 10).
The storesare called GrayMART (hehe)

Well im on shadowfire and just made master tailor so if anyone on my server is interested, I'm tooling up for production now so post here to let me know. As far as other servers go, I may be setting up production on other servers fairly soon, depending on response and workload.

any on Naritus want to set up a system where i can sell their goods through my merchant (for a small fee...nothin big tho)? this way you dont need to waste any points in business or merchant. Oh yah, I am a master merchant btw...in case you care, so i can put your goods on any type of vendor you'd like and list it and all that good stuff.Just send me a mail in-game to E'rik.
Thanks,

We've been asking for in-game ways to make this easier for months. The current "I'll retail for you so long as we both play at the same time" system is somewhat limiting ^_^

I agree that it is hard to find a crafter that will work with you...
the best deal i have setup is an old weaponsmith friend....
he sold me my first T21 Rifle... at the time i had no idea about prices... he was the first weaponsmith i contacted....
long time passed and i decided to take up Merchant
now at Master Merchant i contacted the weaponsmith and setup a "tab" he supplied me with a few things
1.)a baggie with enough guns to supply a small army
2.)$2,000,000 hole in my pocket
3.)a price RANGE list low-high
4.)Trust
i did the math on the weapons and came to a nice find that at the current prices i would made about
$1,300,000
when i sell few weapons or have some money laying around i make a trip and give him a few $100k.
slowly the money will come in and u will start to get returning customers and then your flying.
the main thing about hte merchant business i find is trust... if your supplier doesnt trust you go some where else... simple as that...
