Though there must be some sort of rule to this I guess, otherwise the chance of 'evilness' is huge.
-Oh goodie, now the stupid newbie placed a vendor in my house and filled it. lets delete it!
-Bah! The vendor owner was rude to me. Lets delete his vendors withhundreds upon hundredrares/top-level weapons in it!
Somethign to keep in mind.

Even a week delay isn't necessarily enough. This feature has too many possibilities to be used as a griefing tool.
My advice to you would be to "suck it up" and re-deed the building. Throw up merchant tents around the mall while your in the process of cleaning out the mall for re-deeding.
Or just live with the empty vendors. Maybe put a couple of potted plants in front of them. In any event, even if the developers thought this was the best idea ever (which they wont) it would take them at least 2 months to implement it.

Simply let the owner of a structure place a vendor name it, dress it, set add barking, map registration, and so on.
Then instead of initialising the vendor, the owner would choose a "rent out" function. And then set a daily fee and or a percentage of the sales.
Then any merchant with the necessary skills could come along and rent that vendor, (and it would count a placing a vendor)
If nothing was done the vendor would remain rented out, but either the structure owner or renter could at any time cancel the "contract" and that would give it a 30 day time out.
Someone who rented a vendor in a building should not be ban able from that building.

I believe UO solved this problem by allowing vendors to be rented out on a monthly basis or something like that.

I think i like the idea where house owner can "fire" vendors.. with a timer better.. but doesn't matter how they solve it.. aslong they solve it..*
it is frustrating running a mall with vendors thats empty.. ![]()
